Alright. Hang on now. I know I’m not yet a PROFESSIONAL photographer, so I may not have room to gripe here BUT…

WHAT is with these two photographers and the spit that looks like CUM on their modeling subjects? And while we’re at it, what’s with their UBER contrasty photos and celebrity clientele that they don’t NAME drop, but rather just PHOTO drop?

I am not trying to tear them apart, they clearly have a fan base so people are liking what they’re doing (or at very least liking WHO they’re photographing) but I just don’t understand it.  

Am I supposed to be shocked? Grossed out? Perplexed (Is it spit? or cum?)

I dunno, I just don’t get it. 

In August of 2010, my friends and I went up to Seattle for our NOH8 Picture. It was a proud moment for all of us, to unite in a single photos, gays, a lesbian, a bisexual and me, the lone straight girl. We were proud to stand together with the same belief that we all should marry whoever we want and that whoever our friends or neighbors marry, has no effect on OUR respective marriages. (when we have them of course). This year NOH8 is heading back out on the road for more open shoots and I am delighted to hear they are coming to MY town of Portland, Oregon on May 4 (at the Jupiter Hotel)

I hope that my friends and neighbors here will join me in our silent protest to show the world that for all the Hate, Violence, and Tragedy this world has going on, why should we ever deny the basic right to LOVE?
